Rippa Rugby is fun!

Today my class and I played Rippa Rugby. I was excited because I love playing this game at home with my cousins and I really like it. Our coach’s name is Hamish and Hamish is the coach for the Marist Rugby Club.

First we played a game called Rippa Rush. Coach Hamish split us into yellow and green teams. I was playing for the yellow team. When the green team had the ball, I tried to take it but I couldn't because they were all running so fast. When it was the green team’s turn, Punipuao caught the ball and ran away with the ball fast. I couldn't get her because she is a good runner.

I had fun playing Rippa Rugby. My favourite part was when I ran fast away from the green team and scored a try.I really love playing Rippa Rugby.

Learning intention: We are learning to follow the structure of a recount.

Success criteria: I know I can this when I write an orientation, followed by the events and then a conclusion for our first Rippa Rugby session.

 Success criteria: I know I can do this when I write how we can brush our teeth properly using 5 steps.

Do you know what exponents means?

Learning intention:We are learning to understand exponents.

Success criteria:I know I can do this when I give at least two examples to explain my understanding of exponents.

Cleo the hero!

Learning intention: We are to write a character profile.

Success criteria: I know I can do this when I write 8 statements describing Cleo the homing cow.  

Do you know what to do when you are online?

Learning intention: We are learning to understand how to interact with other online and make smart decisions about what information we share.

Success criteria: I know I can do this when I write 6 ways that I can be safe online. 

How many different ways can you cook a potato?

Learning intention: We are learning to develop our critical thinking skills.
Success criteria: I know I can do this when I use the alphabet key to find words that are related to potatoes and list 5 different ways of using potatoes.

Are you brave enough to run into a burning house to save people?

Learning Intention: We are learning to understand the qualities of a hero.

Success criteria: I know I can do this when I identify the qualities of Tyler Doohan and explain what he did to save other people.
