These are the countries that took part in World War 1. World war 1 started in 1914 and ended 1918. New Zealand represented the Troop Allies.

My best Mum ever!

My mum is loving! She always kiss me when I go to sleep and when I go to school.She hug's me when I am crying.

My mum is helpful!When my room is messy she help me clean up.

My mum is funny!When I am sad my mum make's me happy by making funny face.

My best mum is kind! She let's me have a make up party at my cousin's house.

My mum is beautiful because when ever we go to a party she always put make ups and a flowery wore dress.

My mum is protective!When ever we cross the road hold's my hand.

I love my awesome mum because she is the best mum ever.

Manaikalani school.

Did you know that 2000 children from other schools came to Pt England to see the waka?



First we went on the bus to Pt England.When we were there we looked for somewhere to sit and we waited for the waka.


Next the waka arrvied.Then the big people started the haka to welcome them.Later on more people from Hawaii came and they stoped the haka.


A maori leader welcome them and when he finished talking the big people started the haka a gain.Then the people from Hawaii said something.After she said it in maori they sang a moari song.


After a few minute we sang.The student leaders gave them a necklace.Later on we gave them high five the Hawaiian people.It was so cool and fun.

Finally we went back to school on the bus.I was so fun at meeting Manaikalani school.

My weekend!

I went to my auntie's house in the weekend. At my auntie's house I played with my cousin.

I play hide and seek. When my cousin found me, I tried to get her but she was too fast for me so I tried to get my other cousin. She was also too fast for me.

After that, my auntie called us for lunch. For lunch, we had healthy sandwiches.

I had a lot of fun that day.

Popular pets in Room5l

The turtle was the most popular pet in room 5L.They were popular because they have a hard shell and nice patterns on there back.Only seventeen people likes turtle.Second popular pets in 5L was the dogs.Just only sixteen people who  likes dogs because dogs have a furry hair and it is so cute.

I like going to the film festival!

First we have to pick a partner. After that, we went on the bus. Then after a while we were at Sylvia Park and I was excited to watch the movie. When we went inside, it was warm. And then when we found a seat. I sat next to Punipuao. Then Punipauo said, the light is going to turn off. 

First, people from each schools go on stage and say some things about their film. After that, they show us the movie. The part I like is the zombie. I like the zombie movie because it had scary, exciting props. My favourite movie is the master chief movie. I liked that movie because when the two girls made pancakes it looked yummy and delicious.

The film festival is important because St Patrick's gets a turn to show their movie. One of the movie was about Johnny. The part that I liked was when Johnny laughed. All the schools laughed.

I am happy that I went to the film festival. I can't wait for the next film festival.

I love ice cream, it's the best!

Last Thursday me and my class made ice cream. First, we cracked 4 egg whites in a big bowl and then we put the egg yolks in the second big bowl. Lupe's group had to mix the egg whites first until it  became fluffy and thick. My group had to mix the egg yolks to so that they will become fluffy and thick too. Xaveir's group had to mix the cream to make it thick. Then we put the egg whites, egg yolks and the cream together. Every one had a turn mixing the egg whites, the cream,to the egg yolks together. Lastly,every one had a turn to put all the ingredients in a container, so Mrs Twomey can put it in the freezer.
