All About Me!

Hello my name is Mary. I attend Saint Patrick's School. I am a year 8 student and my teacher's name is Ms George. I am from a country called Tonga. In my family there is a total of 7 because I have 4 sisters and 3 brothers. I am interested in animals such as tigers and lions.

My goals for this year are to graduate intermediate and move on to college. I would like to be a nurse just like my mum when I grow up. So I will have to study hard. I have enjoyed learning new things this year such as learning how to say God in Samoan and Filipino. My challenge for this year is to work hard and become like my mum and dad because they have been there for me every since I was little.

I also enjoy listening to music and playing sports. My favourite song right now is called ''How great thou art'', and my favourite sport is rippa rugby. This year I am trying to improve my writing and my reading. Adidas is my number one favourite brand.

My Mum and my cousins are my inspiration because they helped me through life. My favourite thing to do is eat, such as chocolate and KFC. I go to a church called Dominion Methodist Church. I have been there ever since I was a little girl and I was also baptised there as well. I love playing video games. My favourite video game is called PUBG.

What I'm looking forward for my achievement is to achieve better in my maths and my writing. This year I am reading a special book called ''The Impossible Quest."

On my blog you will probably see new things you've never experienced in your life. So what I'm saying is we should work together and enjoy reading about my learning journey.

How can we get rid of bacteria that may cause disease?

It's important to wash your hands to eliminate bacteria which can spread to our bodies causing sickness and disease.

Washing your hands is important because if we don't wash our hands then the germs from our hands will spread to others. Washing your hands after you go to toilet, change a nappies, picking up rubbish etc is the most important thing to do because if you touch your eye, your nose or your mouth you could get infected.

Bacteria can also spread to other people by your own dirty hands. When you touch your friend or something that belongs to your friend they can become infected too. Pinworm eggs can also be transferred from animals to human hands and then ingested. The eggs hatch into worms which lay
more eggs. Pinworms can make you, hungry, tired and very sick.

It is important to wash your hands to eliminate bacteria and germs or eggs from our skin. By doing this we help stop spreading sickness to all those around us.

Euphrasie Barbier!

Euphrasie Barbier is the founder of the Mission Sisters. She was raised in Caen,

France. She worked as a laundry at the age of 13 and when she was 17 she opened her

own laundry place at her own house. She was the child of Louis-Desire Barbier and

Jenne Adele Le Clar. Her father worked as a shoe maker and her mother worked as a

laundress. On January 18 1893 Euphrasie Barbier passed away.

She was a helpful person because she helped others in need around the world.

Euphrasie Barbier was a strong leader teaching other Sisters to help all those in need

especially women and children.

Euphrasie Barbier was a great nun to the Catholic Faith.

Everyone in this world should look up to her because without her we wouldn't have a

special leader who cared and loved those around her.
